There are many magicians out there claiming to be professional. Magicians fall into a wide range of skill levels from the amatuer who does a bit at the weekend and has only really performed to his parents all the way up to the TV Celebrity Magician.
Charges for a Magician at your wedding for a 2 hour period will range from £250 to £600
This largely depends on where the wedding is and the experience of the magician.
If anyone quotes you under £250 be careful – you might get a bargain with a young up and coming magician who is looking for some experience but it has been my opinion that for your wedding you should try and find a seasoned professional, someone who has performed at a lot of weddings and undertands how the day works.
The magician after all is a side-show to your big day.
If you are quoted over £600 to perform magic at your wedding – either the magician is a minor celebrity or is trying it on.
