If your event is a large one and you are expecting more than 150 guests I would highly recommend hiring two magicians. I can highly recommend two other Magicians in Surrey who I regularly work with on larger events and can book them on your behalf.
If your event is small and you are only expecting 10-20 guests then a close up magician is still the perfect entertainment, the performance will be more intimate and I get to do some more of my longer routines when I have some more time.
As well as performing close up magic I also do some mind reading and mind control type effects which have become very popular now, very like the material Derren Brown performs.
