Performing my unique wedding entertainment at Rhinefield House Hotel a few weeks ago I had the great pleasure to meet a fantastic couple and two awesome wedding photographers.
I was hired to perform close up magic after the wedding breakfast for the family and friends of Alice & Carl. They were married at Rhinefield House and enjoyed their wedding breakfast in the Grand Hall. I was booked to perform the wedding entertainment towards the end of the wedding breakfast and when I arrived all the guests were just finishing their main course.
This is a great time for wedding magic as with the main course finished the tables are less busy and as the guest enjoyed their deserts and coffee I moved between tables performing my magic.
When performing at a wedding I will normally perform a routine that lasts between 8-10 minutes per table. I would always start and finish with the top table. It is very important to start at the top table so they know when watching you move around their guests what is happening. Then after I have been to all the tables I would normally return to the top table to show them one more trick.
I really enjoy performing at weddings as everyone is in a very relaxed mood and during the quieter times of the day are looking to be entertained.
There are always a few children at a wedding and this one was no exception. I always carry a bag of modelling balloons for the smaller ones and will quickly make swords for the boys and poodles for the girls. There is always somebody who wants something very random and at this wedding the request was for a Dolphin! I would then make a red love heart and ask one of the bridesmaids to give it to the bride.
You can see the love heart being delivered below.
During my performance to the top table Jacqui captured some more amazing reactions from Alice & Carl as seen below!
After the wedding magic a lot of the guests who were staying at the Rhinefield House Hotel went back to their room to freshen up while others took a walk in the amazing grounds with views over the new forest, ready for the evening party!
As I said above – fantastic couple and amazing wedding photographers!
Rhinefiled House is one of (in my opinion) the best wedding venues in Hampshire
