Hi, I’m Roger Lapin, if you are looking for a Berkshire Magician I have been performing my table magic at some of the finest restaurants in Berkshire for over 20 years. The list below shows some of the finest dining spots in Berkshire!
Fine Dining Berkshire
There are currently 7 restaurants in the UK that have three Michelin stars and two of them are in Berkshire!
Both are long standing holders of their 3 stars.
The remaining Michelin star restaurants in Berkshire have one star.
So if you are looking for luxury restaurants in Berkshire – these are amongst the best in the country! Taken from the Michelin Guide 2023.
Three Michelin Star Restaurants in Berkshire
1. The Fat Duck, Bray
The Fat Duck in Bray has long been established as one of the best restaurants in Berkshire and possibly the world!
Chef Heston Blumenthal is world renowned for his unique combinations of foods. People travel from all over the world to sample dishes such as meat fruit and snail porridge. If you are looking for the best restaurant in Berkshire this one is a top contender!
The dress code at The Fat Duck in Bray, a Michelin three-starred restaurant in the UK, is smart casual. The restaurant requests that guests refrain from wearing shorts, sportswear, flip flops, and open-toe shoes for men. While a jacket and tie are not required, many guests do dress up for the occasion, making it a special and memorable dining experience.

2. The Waterside Inn, Bray
Literally next door is the Waterside Inn also in Bray. Chef Alain Roux is in charge of food and the Waterside Inn also has accommodation in a unique waterside location.
The dress code at The Waterside Inn in Bray, a Michelin three-starred restaurant in the UK, is also smart casual. The restaurant requests that guests refrain from wearing shorts, sportswear, flip flops, and open-toe shoes for men. One Michelin Star Restaurants in Berkshire
1. The Hinds Head, Bray
Another restaurant in Bray! The Hinds head is another of Heston’s and in charge of cuisine is Pete Gray, a typical English pub from the outside but what lies behind the front door is astounding!

As a Close up Magician I have had the pleasure to perform at the Hinds Head, but not yet at the Waterside Inn or the Fat Duck.
2. The Blackbird, Newbury
Based out of an old village pub, chef Tom Robinson brought the pub back to life serving amazing cuisine with local ingredients. Delicious food guaranteed.

3. The Woodspeen, Newbury
Chef John Campbell has taken an old pub and transformed it into a smart country restaurant without formality. Modern cuisine without the fuss.
4. Woven, Ascot
A chic, luxurious 18C property set in 246 acres of grounds plays host to this elegant, intimate restaurant. As you enter, the striking ceiling sculpture is the first thing to catch your eye; it’s named ‘Autumn’ – to match the colours of the room – and comprises copper oak leaves and acorns. The service might be structured but the atmosphere is relaxed, and the large main room has a bright, contemporary look; for the best view ask for a seat in the conservatory, overlooking the manicured gardens.
