The incredible story of Alex Lewis
On November 17th Alex Lewis collapsed and was rushed to Winchester ICU. He had contracted Strep A which developed into Toxic Shock Syndrome which left lasting damage. He became a triple amputee, losing his left arm above the elbow and both legs.
He is 33 years old with a partner and a son of 3 years old.
For more information about Alex and the amazing fund raising that is happening to help Alex rehabilitate and to learn to walk and use his limbs please spend some time to look at his website www.alex-lewis.co.uk
His only symptoms leading up to this was a cold, within a few hours of his collapse hist vital organs were being supported mechanically and his chances of survival was given at less than 5%.
