The average cost of a wedding band in the UK can be between £500 to £3000 depending on the band you book.

How much does a Magician cost for a Wedding?
If you are looking for some wedding entertainment ideas a great choice is a Magician. I have performed at 100’s of weddings over the years and one of the first questions that usually comes up is how much do you charge?
This is very dependant on the day of the wedding (Saturdays are a premium) and the time of day.

As a rough guide expect to pay between £250 and £550 depending on how many hours I perform for.
How much do DJ’s at weddings cost?
There is always a perception that whenever you book any supplier for your wedding that they add a premium onto the cost just because it’s a wedding. This is not exactly the case but the reason that hiring a supplier for a wedding tends to be more expensive is the time involved.
If you want to hire a DJ for your wedding and are happy for him to turn up 30 minutes before they start and setup around your guests during the wedding breakfast then I am sure it will be cheaper than if they arrive earlier in the day and setup when the room is quiet. A DJ can also provide a PA for you to use and in a lot of cases can supply mood lighting for your room.
As with all things it’s best to speak to your DJ and discuss all the options and then you can decide which one is best for you and your budget.

The average price for a band at a wedding could be anywhere from £500 to £5000 depending on the size of the band you hire and also how good they are!
If you did want to put a figure on it I would say the average wedding band cost would be between £1000 to £2000

Also there maybe an option with your wedding venue where they can offer you a wedding entertainment package which includes a DJ or a Magician or a Band when booking your wedding reception with them.
