I have recently been told that I am a Christian Magician, this is a title that I had not previously thought about but there are a lot of churches who are looking to hire a magician for an event they are holding and would like to find specifically a Christian Magician.
Now before I go any further, there are a few people who consider magic in the church to be wrong as it is perceived to be “deceit”. For those people I assure them that what I do is simply harmless tricks performed with a little mis-direction. Everyone understands that it is just fun and I regularly perform a new routine I am working on during our Sunday service.
I performed in the Church tent at the New Forest Show last year and although I am describing myself as a Christian Magician I do not perform any heavy gospel tricks with blood red cloths etc. I can make my message as easy going as you wish and for the example of performing in the Church tent, this was simply a way to bring some fun to people as they enjoyed a cup of tea and show to show everyone that Christianity can be fun as well.
Watch the video below to see one of the top Magicians in Hampshire being interviewed on the radio and performing a few close up magic tricks!
If you are looking for a local Magician in Southampton I am based in the New Forest and available to hire for Parties & Weddings across Hampshire and the south of England.
Premier Christian Radio
I was interviewed on Premier Christian Radio about being a Christian and a Magician. I also performed a few tricks – The interview is a bit of video and then audio only.
I mainly perform as a London Magician but if your event is anywhere across the UK please let me know and we can discuss the details.
If you are intrigued by what you are reading here and would like me to come and perform at your church, or show your youth group a few tricks then give me a call.
I find magic is a brilliant way to start an interaction with someone and when I have performed a few tricks if the moment feels right I will talk about my faith and if not, I just move on.
For a lot of people, it is the initial conversation starter that they need and I find magic is the perfect solution to that problem.
