But lucky for you, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite 9 wedding reception venues London has to offer. And here they are…
1. Harrow School Wedding Venue Hire
No, you’re not looking at a picture from Harry Potter – although you’re guests might like to make-believe that they are indeed at Hogwarts. This is the Harrow School.
The inside of the venue is steeped in incredible history. The bride will feel like a princess in her own castle for the night. Everywhere you turn is layer upon layer of absorbing English history. Banqueting tables for the royal feast and a large ballroom suiting to the occasion. All set amongst quintasensual English gardens. This venue is available for bookings during Christmas, (perfect winter wedding venue London) Easter and summer holidays.

2. Museum of Brands
Quirkiness X1000 on this one! If you are looking for quirky wedding venues in London this has to be at the top of this list
Needless to say, this London wedding venue is more about giggle-factor rather than breathtaking beauty. If you and your partner are the sort of couple that would enjoy having your special night in rather goofy surroundings – then the Museum of Brands is for you.
A trip down memory lane…you’ll find iconic brands, boxes, packets, tins, ads, fashions, posters, games and toys of yesteryear covering the walls. The museum tells a story of how brands have evolved through the decades, and how we’ve evolved with them. It’s an absolute time tunnel…sure to bring back fond memories of your childhood for you and your guests.

3. The Ivory Vaults
Nestled deep below Ivory House in London’s St Katherine’s dock, The Ivory Vaults is an incredibly intimate and atmospheric venue for your wedding party.
As part of a building dating back to 1858, the vaults were at the heart of the capital’s trading days in the docklands and their rough outer walls, coved ceilings and worn fixtures tell the story of a bygone era.
Certainly not the sort of place you’d like to be alone in the dark at night…but fantastic for a memorable riverside wedding venue in London when in the safety of your friends and family!
4. The Marylebone Rooms
Want a city-chique winter London wedding venue? Then how about hiring your very own lounge bar space for the special occasion. Stylishly modern, yet relaxed and homely, The Marylebone Rooms offer up a fantastic venue choice for your London wedding party.
An array of different rooms will offer you and your guests something new at every corner. Mingle socially in the outdoor courtyard (partly covered – so still good if you get unlucky with the weather), before drifting indoors to relax in the library room, the long room, or the dining area.
This is a contemporary and modern space. It doesn’t have the grandeur of some possible London wedding venues or the quirkiness of others. It’s unique in the regard that it feels like you have your own cocktail lounge bar for the evening in the heart of central London.
5. Hoxton Arches
In a hipsterish corner of East London you’ll find a suitably unique London wedding venue for the area.
The Hoxton Arches is nestled on the edge of funky Shoreditch and the financial district. Comprising of two rooms and a rear garden, the venue is an excellent and original choice for a creative London wedding venue. Normally home to an afterwork drinks crowd, art exhibitions, photo shoots, indoor markets and fashion shows,
The Hoxton Archers have that eclectic feel to them that you’d associate with this area of London.

Boutique Wedding Venues London
There are certainly some very unique places in London to have your wedding reception, the next few are my very favourite
6. Tower Bridge
It’s hard to think of a more iconic place for a London wedding venue than Tower Bridge. Simply stunning views and a ridiculously unique location steeped in history. London’s Tower Bridge is a wonderful venue for your special day.
With ample space, there is room for a reception and dance area in each tower, whilst the dining area stretches across the width of the bridge. The glass housing on three sides allows for panoramic views during your feast.

7. Altitude London
Continuing with the theme of crazy good views…we have Altitude London. A unique and luxury wedding venue,
Altitude is in fact, two different venues. Choose from Altitude 360 or the Skyloft.
Both spaces have a delicious 360 degree panoramic view of the London skyline. More than just a magical view, Altitude London has some of the best catering available also.
8. Asylum
Want to treat your guests to the most memorable London wedding venue ever? You’d find it hard to beat…The Asylum, in this case. A grade two listed building built in 1826 and bombed to pieces in WW2, this space oozes history and stories at every turn.
With a name that fits its dystopian appearance, the Asylum is beautiful in its decay and makes a perfectly unique experience for a London wedding party. Suitable for 120 guests.
9. Conservatory Barbican
Fancy something a bit fresher and closer to nature? Then the Conservatory Barbican might be your ideal choice for a unique London wedding party venue.
A lush tropical paradise of over 1800 exotic plants and fish…the Conservatory Barbican is a rainforest in the middle of London. Add to this; breath taking views of the city skyline and a state of the art lighting system that creates an atmospheric ambience for post-dinner dancing – and you have a fantastic London wedding venue.
Cheap wedding venues London
If you are looking for cheap wedding venues in London this page is not for you! The venues shown above could be considered very high end and whilst I cannot comment on the prices they are not going to be cheap!
